The science section at Raha college started in the year 2016 offering BacherlorOf Science course and Physics was offered as a general subject in the degree course. The BSc course as Physics general started with 31 students and they completed there BSc degree in 2019. Following this, Honours(major) course in the subject with Non CBCS syallabus was started from the academic session 2017-2018 with a strength of 10 students. All of them secured honours in the final examination held in 2020. Again the syallabus of the course is change in 2019 from NON CBCS TO CBCS, in the session of 2019-2020 there are 5 students in Physics major and they give the final exam in 2022.
From the very beginning the department has been producing excellent result. Many students who passed out of this department went to higher study, most of them prepare for competitive exam and some of them occupied attractive position in different non governmental institutions andorganisations.
