Since the time of the establishment, of the Department, it has not only tried to offer quality education but it has also worked upon the holistic development of its students. Field visits, audio visual sessions, group discussions, interactive sessions in and around college premises and also in THE DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY, GAUHATI UNIVERSITY, etc are held from time to time so that the students get an extensive and scientific understanding of our society.
Students also avails books of the Department through the Central Library of the College which constitutes books of both Assamese and English medium of CBCS and NON CBCS courses.
Hence Raha College has always stood to be the Pioneer among Nagaon District in establishing Sociology in U.G.Course under Gauhati University.
